Prachanda, Modi Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthening Nepal-India Ties

Kathmandu: In a recent telephonic conversation, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' of Nepal and his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, engaged in discussions regarding the bilateral relations between their two nations.

The conversation focused on the implementation of crucial agreements that were signed during PM Dahal's recent visit to India, as reported by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM).

The Office of the Prime Minister of India also released a statement on the matter, highlighting that the two leaders emphasized the need to strengthen the deep bonds of friendship between Nepal and India and to enhance their bilateral partnership. During the call, they reviewed various aspects of the India-Nepal bilateral cooperation. India considers Nepal a close and friendly neighbor, and it reaffirmed its commitment to the 'Neighbourhood First' policy, where Nepal holds a significant position as a key partner.

The telephonic conversation is in line with the longstanding tradition of high-level exchanges between Nepal and India, further fostering the spirit of cooperation and mutual understanding between the two neighboring nations. This communication underlines the ongoing efforts to sustain and strengthen the positive relationship that exists between Nepal and India.
